About Harpoons on the Bay

Harpoons on the Bay opened its doors in September 2016. Following in the legendary footsteps of Harpoon Henry's, Wallace's Whalers Cove and The Rendezvous, the current owners had a vision to build on the long success of the Bayfront beach bar - creating a relaxing, fun and unforgettable experience like none other on the Jersey Shore.  In fact, you'll feel a lot more like you're in the Florida Keys than South Jersey.

New for the 2023 season is our Bayfront Raw Bar, an all-new open-air waterfront experience. We will be serving up Cape May County's freshest oysters, clams, shrimp and a variety of your raw bar favorites, along with our creative twists on some oyster bar classics! In addition, we have spent all winter subjecting our poor livers to tasting hundreds of beers and fine wines so that we can bring you only the best to pair with these fine bivalves! With the addition of these 16 new taps, Harpoons now features 40 ice cold beers on tap! So, sit back, relax, sip on one of our amazing cocktails, enjoy our creative cuisine, breathe deep and enjoy the experience. It's just what the doctor ordered!

At Harpoons, we LOVE dogs! Well behaved and leashed dogs are always welcome in the Sand Pit and on our Tiki Bar Patio! We kindly ask that you be considerate of other guests, both two and four-legged. If your pup is having a bad day, please leave him/her back at home.

SERVICE ANIMALS: Service animals, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act, are always welcome in any area of the restaurant. We reserve the right to ask: "Is the service animal required because of a disability?" and "what work or task has the animal been trained to perform?" Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times, on a leash, unless use of a leash interferes with the handler's disability. We reserve the right to ask handler(s) to remove their service animal should the animal (a) become out of control and the handler cannot effectively bring the animal back into control; or (b) the animal is not housebroken.

Emotional Support Animals do not qualify as Service Animals, and are not allowed in any of our indoor or roofed dining areas in accordance with Cape May County Health Department regulations. There is dog-friendly seating available on our outdoor deck and on our Tiki Bar patio.

We plan to reopen in early April 2024
